Einer der Aktionen die sich aus der Occupy Wall Street Bewegung herauskristallisiert hat ist der “Bank Transfer Day”, der Tag an dem die “99%” ihr Geld entweder ganz von den Banken abheben oder auf kleine Regionalbanken transferieren sollen. Die OWS-Aktivisten meinen, neben der Besetzung und dem Protest muss eine schmerzhafte Aktion gegen die Banken stattfinden. Ein massenhafter Geldtransfer von den Banken am 5. November würde das System erheblich ins Wanken bringen, ein Weg der Gier eine rote Karte zu zeigen.

Deliberative Demokratietheorie geht davon aus, dass Bürger in Diskursen über politische Themen diskutieren. Habermas charakterisiert die Regeln dieses Diskurses wie folgt (Habermas 1992: 370 f.):
Ein Diskurs besteht aus Diskussionen und Beratungen, in denen verschiedene Parteien Informationen einbringen, geregelt austauschen und kritisch prüfen.
Diese Beratungen sollen öffentlich sein. Niemand, der auch nur potentiell von den Beschlüssen betroffen ist, darf ausgeschlossen werden.
Kein Teilnehmer darf Druck von außen ausgesetzt werden. Die einzigen Bedingungen, an die sich die Akteure zu halten haben, sind die Kommunikationsvoraussetzungen (Verständlichkeit) und der Verfahrensmodus der Argumentation (Begründungsprinzip: die Orientierung an Geltungsansprüchen).
Kein Teilnehmer darf Zwängen innerhalb eines Diskurses ausgesetzt sein. Jeder Akteur muss die gleichen Chancen haben, sich zu jeder Information, die in den Diskurs einfließt, zu äußern und neue Informationen selbst einzubringen.
Politische Diskurse umfassen alle Themen, die im allgemeinen Interesse geregelt werden können. Besonders relevant sind also Fragen der Ungleichverteilung von Ressourcen, von denen die Wahrnehmung gleicher Teilnahme- und Kommunikationsrechte abhängen.[1]
Anmerkung zu dem oben stehenden: Diese Regeln stammen nicht von Habermas, sondern von Joshua Cohen und werden von Habermas in „Faktizität und Geltung“ als mangelhaft bezeichnet. Zitat: „In diesem Bild deliberativer Demokratie fehlen nicht nur wichtige interne Differenzierungen sondern auch Aussagen zum Verhältnis zwischen den entscheidungsorientierten Beratungen, die durch demokratische Verfahren reguliert sind und den informellen Meinungsbildungsprozessen in der Öffentlichkeit.“

I wish I could start with the ritual “I love you” which the Occupy Movement is supposed to inspire. To be honest, it has been a space of turmoil. But also, virulent optimism.
What I outline below are not criticisms of the Occupy movement. I am inspired that the dynamic of the movement thus far has been organic, so that all those who choose to participate are collectively responsible for its evolution and development. To all those participating — I offer my deepest gratitude and respect. I am writing today with Grace Lee Boggs on the forefront of my mind: “The coming struggle is a political struggle to take political power out of the hands of the few and put it into the hands of the many. But in order to get this power into the hands of the many, it will be necessary for the many not only to fight the powerful few but to fight and clash among themselves as well.” This may sound dramatic and counter-productive, but I find it a poignant reminder that, in our state of elation, we cannot underestimate the difficult terrain ahead and I look forward to the processes that will further these conversations.

“Occupy everywhere”
Seit knapp vier Wochen versammeln sich in New York jeden Tag hunderte Menschen am Liberty Square. Der Slogan “Occupy Wall Street” hat eine Protestbewegung losgetreten, die inzwischen das ganze Land erfasst hat. Die Aktivisten protestieren für mehr Gerechtigkeit und wirtschaftliche Veränderungen. Am kommenden Samstag schwappt die Protestbewegung auch nach Österreich über. Im Rahmen eines globalen Protesttages sind in Graz, Linz, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Steyr und Wien Aktionen und Protestmärsche geplant. Aus “Occupy Wall Street” soll “Occupy everywhere” werden schreiben die Organisatoren auf ihrer Internetplattform. Einer der Mit-Organisatoren, der Spanier Salvador Espada, ist in Wien und erzählt, was am 15. Oktober geplant ist. (Paul Pant)

Schon relativ früh nach Aufkommen der Bewegung des 15. Mai (movimiento 15-M) in Spanien ging von diversen Assembleas der Ruf nach einem weltweiten Aktionstag am 15. Oktober 2011 aus.Bei den verschiedenen Treffen und Soliaktionen der letzten Monate, die mit der Karlsplatzbesetzung Ende Mai ihren “Anfang” genommen haben gab es von vornherein viel Interesse, für diesen Tag in Wien etwas vorzubereiten.Inzwischen sind Demo (Treffpunkt 15 Uhr Westbahnhof) und Versammlung am HeldInnenplatz ab 19 Uhr angemeldet.Dieses Treffen soll auch zur Koordinierung verschiedener Gruppen und Personen dienen, die vor haben am 15. THE INTERNATIONAL ‘OCCUPY Wall Street’ protests arrived in Ireland today, with activists gathering in Dublin to mount a “leaderless resistance” against political and financial elites.
Upwards of a hundred protesters massed outside the Central Bank for the Occupy Dame Street event, which saw demonstrators bang pots and pans and hold placards calling for change.
In a statement earlier this week, organisers promised to use “tactics of non-violence and civil disobedience”, citing the Arab Spring as inspiration.
The statement listed four demands: that the IMF and ECB “stay out of our affairs”; that the bank debt taken on by Ireland’s government be lifted; that offshore oil and gas reserves be “returned to the people”, and that “real participatory democracy” be established in Ireland.
The Dublin event comes after weeks of protests in New York, where a fully-fledged camp has sprung up as primarily young people demonstrate their anger against financial wrongdoing and perceived political cronyism.
Last week, New York police arrested more than 700 people as the protest spread to the city’s Brooklyn Bridge.

Starting the 7 p.m. hikes of the Indignant movement arrived like planned at the park Elisabeth in Brussels. Hundreds were waiting for them in the park next to circa ten international media representatives. The highlight was when the hikers arrived close to the park and received a welcome, collective hug from those who were waiting.
After answering to the journalists the assembly started.
Finding a decision between the two options, camping in the park or accepting the proposition to sleep in the abandoned building of the ancient catholic university (HUB) next to the park, was the only order of this assembly. Through the assembly a woman in uniform and a painted heart on her hand rose to speak and said, as a representative of the police, that camping in the park is not negotiable, but that Agora Brussels could take place during the day into the park.
Different possibilities like staying or accepting the invitation of the university were discussed.
At the end of the assembly the police in protective gear and bats advanced and surrounded the people and the tension raised up. After surrounding completely all the tents, the first police row pushed a group of hikers until those were divided and started to take off abruptly approximately twenty tents. After taking off all those tents, more police officers, police with dogs and police buses approached the place.
The situation changed due to this police presence.
The police started to negotiate with the protestors, who were resisting in a peaceful way. They proposed to change their attitude in exchange to not arrest anybody.
Face to the insistency of staying, a last proposition was given: a small group could continue staying in the park without tents while the rest will sleep inside the building.
Although the protestors just were accepting and following the proposition, the police closed up the circuit around them.
One officer came, speaking in Spanish, for an ultimate dialog.
To the question, which law was neglect, he explained that a group over five persons was equal to an illegal demonstration.The answer to the question, if there would be a problem, if the protestors find themselves into 5-persons-groups, was negative. Thus they started to form 5-persons-groups, but because of the repression due to the police encirclement, it was not possible to leave the surrounded place. Confused smiles on officer´s face were caught, but just shortly, because some minutes later the order to interfere was given.
While the Indignants were still discussing the police intervene in a really brusque way: tear gas against peaceful protestors was used and two detention buses were approaching. Pushing and beating by bats and dog bites and 48 detentions were witnessed. All 48 were taken to the police office, rue Caserne in the municipality of Etterbeek, where they have to stay in administrative arrest for 12 hours.
The violence used against the peaceful protestors attested another time the harassment and the aggression used against the protestors, which they already lived during their hikes.
Paris and Brussels showed to the world the sustained police repression, which continue to be applied by the security services against their own tax payer.

Beinahe täglich ein neuer Korruptionsskandal. Exhorbitante Steuerlast auf der Allgemeinheit. Postenschieberei, wohin man nur schaut.
Die “oberen” richten es sich stets, belasten dabei die Masse des Volkes. Rücktritte bei Verfehlungen (Beispiel: Fekters “Juden-Sager”) gibt es nicht.
Das Volk blutet aus. Die Banken werden gerettet. Unsere Reichen wehren sich , auch einen Teil zur Gesellschaft mitzutragen.
Gesetze werden im Namen der “Terrorprävention” verabschiedet, um das Volk noch mehr zu überwachen
Beinahe täglich ein neuer Korruptionsfall.
Die Parteien verzögern die Aufklärung mit Absicht. Im Gegensatz dazu ist nicht der geringste Geldfluß für die Bürger transparent.
Stehen wir auf !
Lassen wir uns diese Schieflage nicht mehr gefallen!
