The Hunger Games movie is set to go on screen in a few weeks. Yesterday, a new friend at an organic cafe (thank Goddess for my green juice) suggested that I read Erich Fromm’s “Escape from Freedom,” in response to my quite excited chem-trail/ HAARP technology discussion. I paused for a second, falling into my own college Psychology class memories of Fromm.

As we all know, the ACTA has been signed in October of 2011, and many are proclaiming that it is worse than SOPA and even PIPA combined. Rather than go into all the details about ACTA, what I have for you below is a short video on what ACTA is, as well as a Wikipedia link to help brush up your knowledge.

Since many consider ACTA a large invasion of privacy, and possibly the segway to shutdown the entire Internet, there have been various petition forms created to help promote the wrongness of ACTA, and have it retracted. Something is happening on YouTube, and I’m not exactly sure what to do with this information. On one hand, it could be a great thing, on the other, it could produce a huuuge copyright protection scandal. Since not very long, full-length movies and series started to appear on Youtube. No, I am not going to provide links, mostly because I am not yet sure what’s exactly happening there, and because my paranoia suggests this could be an “inside job”.

We all know how SOPA, PIPA and ACTA are fighting against copyright infringement, but mostly in vain, because none of these laws were actually ratified yet. Uploading themselves pirated material (happened before), just to show politicians how “out of hand” copyright protection is, could be a possibility. After all, they always played dirty, wouldn’t really be a shock. The fact that some of these movies like the Pirates of the Caribbean…
