Something is happening on YouTube, and I’m not exactly sure what to do with this information. On one hand, it could be a great thing, on the other, it could produce a huuuge copyright protection scandal. Since not very long, full-length movies and series started to appear on Youtube. No, I am not going to provide links, mostly because I am not yet sure what’s exactly happening there, and because my paranoia suggests this could be an “inside job”.
We all know how SOPA, PIPA and ACTA are fighting against copyright infringement, but mostly in vain, because none of these laws were actually ratified yet. Uploading themselves pirated material (happened before), just to show politicians how “out of hand” copyright protection is, could be a possibility.
